Total HECMs endorsed in the month of September 2024 — 2,153. Total HECMs endorsed in the fiscal year ended September 30, 2024 —- 26,521.
In 21 fiscal years, fiscal year 2024 now officially stands as the worst fiscal year for HECM endorsements since September 30, 2003.
So three of the last six fiscal years have been the worst fiscal years for HECM endorsements since September 30, 2003. Fiscal year 2024 is the worst, fiscal year 2019 is the second worst, and fiscal year 2023 is the third worst for any fiscal year for HECM endorsements since September 30, 2003.
