Before I was a mortgage loan officer I owned an executive recruiting business. One thing we learned was to always give out 2 business cards – one to keep and one to give away. As a result, we began receiving referrals from all over the country.
When you write a thank you note, always enclose 2 business cards. Very inexpensive way to market. Out of sight, out of mind so send birthday cards to past clients…and enclose your business card.
It is so good to hear clear emphasis on selling. It seems for a few years we tried to fool ourselves into believing that we were not selling but educating. Education is how we sell.
If you have given up on selling then that in large part explains lower applications. The education thing was a PR stunt started by those who trying to falsely impress HUD.
The emphasis on education over selling like other campaigns was a failure. Let us sell by educating and watch applications grow.
