As expected this report points out that the Top Ten now control over 63% of the endorsement market. The Top Five control 49.92% of the total endorsement market and the Top Three 36.49%
Those of us who have been in the industry for less than a decade and see a turnover in the Top Three lenders, get a little disturbed from time to time. Not long ago in reading one of the first NRMLA magazines (NRMLA started in 1999, just about 10 years after the first HECM was offered), none of the names on the Top Ten appear in the Top Ten today. Apparently turnover in the Top Ten occurs with regularity in our little industry.
