Email is making us miserable: How to fix it

How to stop email misery

While I agree with your basic premise, the value of email to me is the written record it provides of exactly what was said. I am often able to resolve issues by going back to an earlier email exchange. People can say, ‘Well, that’s not what I meant’ but they can’t say, ‘That’s not what I said’! 😉

Great point Jim. Many of us are using email to document key decisions and interactions.

As a baby boomer, email is great if you need to send someone a list of items you need or a recipe.
Otherwise I much prefer to have a conversations.

It is better to check for understanding with a conversation than an email.
and most of all I do not want to be managed by email!
