Optimism and persistence are two very different things. Our active origination core as an industry has dropped significantly in the last decade. Most originators are optimists. Yet as seen in the fall in the number of our originators, most optimists can be easily discouraged and move on unless they are also persistent. It is persistence that allows people to find the win optimism means people try to find good outcomes to every result. Even persistent positive realists can “find the win.”
