  1. Julius Caesar and his legions dominated Gaul due to the training of the legions and Caesar’s own trading and experience in warfare and war strategies. Yet when he ran across a strategy he was not trained for, he was vulnerable and felt it. The Gauls were not prepared for Caesar’s tactics because they had little training in battle tactics and so they learned the hard way.

    The Ukrainians have much knowledge about Russian tactics so that so far they have been able to frustrate Putin’s dream of an easy victory. Of course, Russia has weapons that can overwhelm the Ukraine but so far Russia has not resorted to them. Let us hope they never do.
